Reservation of Rights:  All rights not expressly granted by the artist, including any electronic rights or usage, and including, but not limited to, all rights in sketches, or other preliminary materials.  Without limitation, the Artist, Lauren Cahill, holds the full and complete copyright and reproduction right to copy, exhibit, publish, display, or distribute copies of the drawing.  The buyer cannot make prints or sell copies of artwork without permission in writing per copyright laws.

 

revisions:  revisions may be made only by the artist during the sketching stage.  no additional charge will be requested by the artist for sketches, and for revisions reflecting a new direction to the assignment, or new conceptual input.  no changes are to be made after the sketch has been finalized and approved by the client.

 

Cancellations: There are no "kill" fees required if the job is postponed before the drawing is completed.  the artist reserves the right to keep the 25% non-refundable deposit.

 

Payment: a 25% non-refundable deposit is due when the sketch is approved by the client.  the artist will not proceed with the original drawing until the funds have been received.  Payment for finished work is due upon acceptance, net thirty (30) days.  The client's right to use the work is conditioned upon receipt of payment within 30 days of acceptance, and upon the client's compliance with the terms of this agreement.  After 30 days has passed, if the client has not paid for the drawing, the client surrenders the artwork and the invoice will be canceled.

Privacy: Your personal information is collected for the sole purpose of satisfying the order for necessary communication during the drawing and delivery process.  No information is provided to third parties.

Permission and Releases: The client authorizes the artist to use photos provided by the client and their "likeness" to produce artwork, for use in print, online, and video-based marketing materials, as well as other publications, with or without my name.  The client hereby releases and holds harmless the artist from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality with the images associated. The client authorizes the artist to use and publish the same in print and/or electronically.  I further acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I will not receive financial compensation and acknowledge and agree that publication confers no rights of ownership or royalties.  The client holds harmless, and release the artist from all claims, demands, and causes of action from liability for any claims by the client in connection with my participation.
